The Vernon H. Moore Scholarship was created to support Chinese students in the pursuit of undergraduate and graduate study in law, business, management, trade, finance, investment, computer science, American studies, social sciences and other fields in colleges and universities in the United States. The scholarship is open to all Chinese applicants from China, the U.S., or other parts of the world. Applications are accepted and scholarships are granted based on the applicants' merits and specific financial needs.
The scholarship fund is provided by Vernon H. Moore, a successful U.S. investor whose China joint ventures include the Yancheng Moore Communications Cable Co. LTD, Tangshan Meihua Iron and Steel LTD, and Hainan Sanya Nanshan Buddhist Theme Park. Winners of the Vernon H. Moore Scholarships will be selected by the Learn in USA Scholarship Committee and approved by Mr. Moore himself.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must be enrolled in a college/university and be in good academic standing. To receive the award, they must demonstrate a strong academic record and financial need. We encourage undergraduate students who currently reside in China and have not begun their studies nonetheless to apply. All information provided to the Scholarship Committee is confidential.

Required Documents:
1. A completed application form. Please copy and paste your completed form into an email.
2. An essay stating your purpose of studying in the USA (minimum 200 words).
3. Admission letters from the U.S. university in which you are enrolled and suporting documents, such as a current copy of the applicant's transcript
4. Official copies of relevant aptititude test scores, such as TOEFL, SAT, GRE, etc., will also be considered.
4. Three (3) letters of Recommendation: One (1) with an academic focus, which must be from an administrator or faculty member of your current college/university; and two (2) about your academic or personal achievements from individuals of your choice.
